Summerland Hills Golf Resort
Summerland, British Columbia

The proposed master-planned Summerland Hills Golf Resort, which is being developed by Brandenburg Properties in partnership with Locations West Investments of Canada, is located in the spectacular Okanagan Valley of southern British Columbia. The phased, non-gated, resort community plan includes an 18-hole championship golf course designed by internationally recognized designer Kyle Phillips, who designed Kingsbarns in St. Andrews, Scotland, ranked among the Top 50 courses in the world by Golf Magazine in 2001.

The destination resort will be built in phases over a 20-year span and will include 1,115 residential units and an additional 650 resort commercial units, with a resort village center that will be designed to complement and enhance downtown Summerland’s retail village. Sledding and saucer runs together with cozy bonfires and marshmallow roasts during the winter and championship golf and active bocce courts in the summer will contribute to year-round recreational activities. Summerland Hills also will feature an Augusta National-inspired nine-hole Par 3 golf course as well. In total the resort will encompass more than 1,000 acres with capital investment of an estimated $850 million.

EKISTICS Town Planning is developing the master plan for the Summerland Hills Golf Resort. EKISTICS has also been selected to oversee planning for the Athletes Village in Whistler, B.C. for the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Summerland Golf Resort will also sponsor and build the Summerland Golf Academy to develop local and international talent by attracting some of the best golf professionals in the game.
