Opened in 2005 in the growing community of Woodland north of Sacramento, the nine-hole, par-36 Wild Wings course offers some of the best greens in the Sacramento Valley. Smooth and manicured, the greens offer subtle contours that challenge even the most skilled golfers while providing a consistently fast and true putting surface. Approach shots require accuracy, for the greens are relatively small and well-protected.
The course is also noted for water features on every hole, strategically placed sand bunkers, lush, rolling fairways and great value. Greens fees are reasonably priced, walking is encouraged and the club fosters a family atmosphere. (www.wildwingsgolf.com)
