For nearly six decades, the Brandenburg name has been associated with real estate. Notably in the 1950’s, Lee Brandenburg began his career as a real estate broker and then developer of single-family subdivisions within the City of San Jose, California and surrounds. In the 1960’s and 1970’s, Lee’s attention turned to commercial developments and together with partners Rudy Staedler and John Moore, formed Brandenburg, Staedler & Moore, becoming one of the nation’s leading owners/developers of mobile home communities. In 1978, Lee’s son Eric join his father and formed Brandenburg Properties and since that time, Brandenburg Properties has been headquartered in San Jose, California and doing business across all facets of the real estate industry up and down California and the southern United States.
Brandenburg Properties is a private, family-owned and managed real estate investment and development company that specializes in master-planned residential, resort and golf properties as well as commercial, retail, office apartment and other residential properties for its own account. Our company is known for its expertise and diligence in land assembly and acquisition, entitlement, planning, development and long term-management of the company’s investment property portfolio. We’ve been involved in the creation of nearly 17,000 residential units and 1.7 million square feet of commercial space covering 14,000 acres —conservatively creating nearly $4.5 billion in real estate valuation. Brandenburg Properties practices good corporate citizenship and prides itself on its strong reputation earned over more than half a century of doing what it says it will do.
Built upon deep experience, an inquisitive mind, strong financials with near zero portfolio debt, and a fundamental “do what’s right” approach, Lee Brandenburg and his son Eric built a company to stand the test of time. Today, the managing partner is Bill Baron. Although Lee and Eric have passed, together with Bill they have a combined 140 years and counting of combined experience and expertise in the fields of real estate ownership, management, planning, design, entitlement, construction and finance.
